announcing design-a-rug contest winners

We received many wonderful designs for our design-a-rug contest and would like to sincerely thank each and every one of the contestants for their participation. Certainly there is a lot of talent among our youth. Congratulations to everyone.

After a long and careful consideration, our judges chose 3 winning designs and 4 honorable mentions. The winning designs were chosen considering the creativity, sophistication, simplicity, detail and applicability of transforming the design into an actual rug.

And now we are pleased to announce the winners of our design-a-rug contest:

#s 2 and 3: (These two entries were tied for second and third placement)

#1 winning design will be made into an actual 5' x 7' rug and donated to WGBH's May 2011 auction.

The winners will be announced on WGBH on Dec. 1st.
The $100.00 art supplies gift certificates from Van Gogh's Gear will be mailed to 3 winners.

In addition to the main prizes Solomon's Collection & Fine Rugs has donated $40.00 gift certificates from Van Gogh's Gear to each of the honorable mentions which will be mailed to them.
